Introducing LG Hausys

We now feature LG Hausys Interior Film in our design collection. It’s designed for flat lamination and profile wrapping and uses a special self-adhesive treatment to make it easy to apply, not only on flat surface but, on irregular surfaces too.

With the explosive growth in the Surfaces market LG Hausys was established in 2005 as a sales and marketing subsidiary for LG Chem, LTD.

Now they offer a diverse range of products and have become a leading building and industrial material supplier, producing materials for surfaces, floors, signs and graphics. Aspiring to provide the best in quality products and services- this forward thinking spirit is how a small company formed in a village in Korea became a competitive global company.

The main concern people have with interior films is if they’re as durable and have the same look as traditional materials, but LG Hausys promises the best quality products that feel so close to the original material. These films are made up of four layers:

  1. On the top there is Protective Film
  2. Then there’s the design which is the Print Layer,
  3. Adhesive Layer to apply it to the surface
  4. Release Paper that prevents premature sticking in production and transport.

When tested these films have proved to have no change with abrasion, resistant to stains, heat and moisture resistant and importantly are self-extinguishing ensuring they have a fire resistance certification.

Making the shift to eco-friendly materials is so important for the environment. LG Hausys  have become more eco-conscious by focusing on environmentally friendly and energy efficient products, as well as maximising energy efficiency in their delivery systems by expanding localised production. Creating products that embrace the future by keeping up with trends and making new ones. Designing textures that are always aesthetically pleasing by collaborating with designers such as Vera Wang, Zaha Hadid, Stefano Giovannoni and Marcel Wanders to ensure the best designs are produced to create a truly unique space.

Every surface becomes a potential project for architects and designers to renovate and redesign spaces. The possible are endless with so many ways to apply and in hundreds of different textures!
